At one time or another, we've probably caught some grief from one of our neighbors; however, chances are this discrepancy did not end up all over the Internet and create its own GoFundMe page. But that is exactly what happened to Julia Baker. Last week, Baker found an unusual note from one of her Christian neighbors. It read, "Your yard is becoming Relentlessly Gay! Myself and Others in the neighborhood ask that you Tone It Down. This is a Christian area and there are Children. Keep it up and I will be Forced to call the Police on You! Your kind need to have Respect for GOD. – A Concerned Home Owner.” The "concerned" homeowner took exception to the fact that Baker had both "Love" and "Ohana" spelled out in rainbow colored jars across her lawn. Instead of relenting to her neighbor's request, she used the crowdfunding website, GoFundMe, to raise over $34,000. Her original goal was to raise $5,000, but after people around the world heard her story they decided to help. Baker, a widow and mother of four, hopes to install a rainbow colored roof on her house with all of the money she's received.
